On March 12, 2023, immediately following the 2023 Academy Awards, a new episode of the popular reality competition series American Idol will premiere.
The prestigious awards program will run on ABC from 7 to 10 p.m. ET, followed by American Idol at 10:30 p.m. ET. A whole new batch of hopefuls will give it their all in the audition phase, hoping to wow the judges enough to get a golden ticket to Hollywood Week.
Talented singers and musicians of many genres will showcase their abilities in front of American Idol’s iconic judging panel of pop princess Katy Perry, country superstar Luke Bryan, and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie on this week’s program.
Participants travel from all across the country and represent a wide range of ethnicities and cultural traditions in an effort to win one of the coveted spots. In this, the audience will be treated to several humorous and uplifting scenes.
When Can We Expect To See What Happens On American Idol This Week?
American Idol’s 21st season has already seen a bevy of impressive performers. Not only have contestants from various walks of life performed classic performances, but they have also moved the judges and spectators with their moving experiences and inspirational messages.
Some contestants were able to wow the judges and advance to the Hollywood Week round of the competition; others, however, were sent home with little more than a promise to return even better next time. A select handful has also been awarded the newly announced platinum ticket.
Each contender who purchases a platinum ticket will be excused from performing during Hollywood Week, giving them a chance to rest their voices and gauge the mood of the other participants.
Tyson Venegas, Kaylin Hedges, and Elijah McCormick are just some of the contestants this season who have won the grand prize and secured their places in the next round.
Who Are The Judges For Season 21 Of American Idol?
In July, the show announced that judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie would return in 2023. As host, Ryan Seacrest is also back. Since the show’s 16th season, when it made the transition from FOX to ABC, the core cast of Bryan, Perry, and Richie has remained unchanged. Host duties originally fell to Seacrest, and he has held them ever since Season 1.
Beginning in early August, “Idol Across America” virtual auditions were held in cities around the country to find contestants for Season 21 of the show. After the first round of auditions, Goldderby claims that the judges traveled to Las Vegas, Nashville, and New Orleans to view the second round of hopefuls.
Production for the new season with the judges began in September in Las Vegas, according to a social media post released by the show.
The American Idol audience has traditionally responded positively to country music acts. Winners like Noah Thompson, Chayce Beckham, and Laine Hardy all fit the bill when it comes to contemporary country music. Aside from Carrie Underwood, American Idol has helped launch the careers of musicians like Gabby Barrett and Scott McCreery.

Take it easy, supporters! This trend will continue in the fourth episode, which was set to premiere on March 12th.
The Academy Awards will air on ABC at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on February 24; however, it will air at the end of the Oscars rather than at the beginning. FuboTV, which provides a free week of service to American customers, will also be streaming American Idol online this season.
Chris Daughtry went on to become a successful rock musician despite his season 5 “American Idol” result in fourth place. Reuters stated that Daughtry’s self-titled debut album was the best-selling rock record in Soundscan history. There are three different Grammys that Daughtry might win.
