The announcement of a third season of the badass Classroom of the Elite anime came as a pleasant surprise to viewers just weeks after the premiere of season two had left them on cloud nine.

Set in a futuristic Japan, Classroom Of The Elite follows a group of students as they attend Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School. Talking, sleeping, and even sabotaging are allowed during class at this school.
Kiyotaka Ayanokji is a badass, emotionless, and brilliant protagonist. This shy and retiring young man knowingly enrolls in the school’s lowest academic division, Class D, to prove a point.
Despite Ayanokji’s best efforts to keep a low profile, he becomes embroiled in a number of situations that force him to confront his more forceful side. It’s up to him and the other first-years in Class D to figure out the school’s complex system.

The anime’s official Twitter and the cast have both confirmed that the Year 1 arc will conclude in the upcoming season. The third season will begin with the events of volume 8 of the light novel and end with the conclusion of the first academic year for the freshmen characters. Presently, eleven volumes of the novel by Shgo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose are available.
Following Arisu Sakayanagi’s introduction, fans are anticipating a showdown between Ayanokji and him. Sakayanagi is the only character who is aware of Ayanokji’s abilities and his ties to the White Room.
