Police described the incident as a “targeted home invasion” during a press conference, but they did not provide any possible motives for the crime.
“Motive is specific to each crime, and I would rather leave that to local law enforcement. This does not appear to be an isolated incident, that much I can say with certainty “chief deputy of the Chicago police department Sean Loughran said. Although we are looking into the possibility of a connection between victims and perpetrators, at this point in time it is far too early to talk about it.
Police have not released information about the victims’ ages or genders, but have said that they are searching for multiple suspects.
