When Tyler Perry’s sitcom Sistas returns next month, expect a custody struggle, a downward spiral, and a naked surprise. On May 31 at 9/8c, BET will premiere the sixth season of its drama, and TVLine has the exclusive first look at the show’s blockbuster teaser.
For those who require a review, In the final episode of Season 5, which aired at the end of last month, Maurice stared down the barrel of Que’s gun (and no, that’s not a sexist metaphor) while Fatima helped Zac set visitation rules with the mother of his child, and Karen found out that Aaron might have another woman on the side.
Preston’s possible move on from Danni, Sabrina’s reliance on Calvin in a moment of stress, and Andi’s return to Gary’s bed are all developments that are clarified in the trailer. When did Fatima decide she wanted to take legal action to gain custody of Zac’s son? We’re in for a crazy year.
We also have an exclusive behind-the-scenes film that provides even more glimpses into the Sistas’ futures if that wasn’t enough for you:

When Season 6 of Sistas Might Come Out
Many viewers can’t wait for the premiere of Season 6 of Sistas and want to know when they can tune in. Season 2 of Made in Abyss is currently scheduled for release in 2023.
This is just conjecture, though. So, we’ll need to hold tight until we hear the official word on when Season 6 of Sistas will premiere.
So, What Exactly Happens In Sistas?
Sistas is a comedic drama. All you need to know is that it’s about a group of black women who are all unmarried and have varied backgrounds and upbringings but find common ground in the question, “Why am I single?” This series is about the friendship and shared search for love between three women.

I thought one episode, in particular, was terrible, but overall I was disappointed. The story is what makes the film enjoyable to watch, despite the subpar writing and acting. Constantly recycling the same uncomfortable silences and lines… The story concept is great, so I don’t think it should be canceled.
However, I do think the actors could do a better job of delivering the lines or the screenplay might use some work. It’s incredible to me that Tyler Perry can crank out so many episodes, but I do hope he realizes that quality, not number, is what his fans really want from him.
