On Thursday’s “Live,” Seacrest announced that he will be leaving the show, adding, “Working alongside Kelly over the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career.” We will always be a part of one other’s life, and while she has been a wonderful partner, friend, and confidante, I will regret spending the mornings with her.
In addition to Michael Gelman, I’d want to extend my gratitude to the entire cast and crew for giving me and my family such a warm welcome into American homes and providing us with unforgettable experiences and memories. It’s been an incredible journey, and I couldn’t be happier to hand things off to Kelly’s “real” spouse, Mark.
Ripa has presented “Live” since 2001, initially with Regis Philbin and later with Michael Strahan, with solo hosting stints and a revolving cast of guest hosts. In 2016, Seacrest became her co-host, initially agreeing to stay for three years but now having been with the show for six.
Ripa commented, “I will miss starting my days with Ryan, my dear friend of too many decades to count.” “Ryan’s enthusiasm, drive, and appreciation for the arts are unparalleled.”
‘Live With Kelly And Ryan’ Co-Host Ryan Seacrest Has Officially Announced His Departure From The Show
After six years on the air, Live With Kelly and Ryan‘s co-host Ryan is stepping down, as has been speculated for nearly a year. I’m going to miss having fun with my coworker’s wife. Ryan said in an Instagram post, “I originally signed on to host Live in 2017 for three years, but I fell in love with the job and working with Kelly so much that I decided to stay on for one more final season.”
One of my favorite parts of the job is chatting with fans every day over coffee, and I’m thankful for the opportunity. I’m leaving Live this spring to concentrate on creating three new Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios in children’s hospitals around the country, as well as continuing my radio program on KIIS-FM and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

His final words were a bow to his successor: “I’m looking forward to coming back to guest host in the future, and Kelly, I promise to forever share my food photos, chicken eggs, and olive oil with you.” And please feel free to redesign my closet, Mark, while you celebrate your success.
There was speculation that Ryan intended to leave the ABC morning talk program and return to Los Angeles after having to uproot his life to join Kelly in New York City three years ago. Kelly, meanwhile, would be “upset” if Ryan quit the program in 2020, according to a source quoted by Closer Weekly.
“She loves Ryan and doesn’t want to replace him,” the source said to the magazine. Co-hosting from both New York City and Los Angeles is obviously feasible. This is the routine practice now. However, that is not how to Live! functions.

Mark Consuelos, A Husband Of Kelly Ripa, Has Taken Over For Ryan On ‘Live’
Thankfully, we won’t have to endure a similar ordeal to Michael Strahan’s abrupt departure that we did with Ryan. The change will go down without a hitch this time since everyone is on board with the strategy.
Kelly’s real-life husband of 27 years, Mark Consuelos (not her on-screen husband), will take over for Ryan. He’s a familiar face from the CW show Riverdale. Besides being Kelly’s husband, he has previously filled in as a co-host with Kelly while Ryan has been away on vacation, so he’s an obvious choice.
Kelly will still miss Ryan, though. Kelly said in an interview with Vanity Fair, “I’m so grateful to have spent the last six years beside my dear friend of too many decades to count and will miss starting my days with Ryan.”
“Ryan’s enthusiasm, drive, and dedication to the world of showbiz are unparalleled.” Despite our shared sadness at Ryan’s departure, we look forward to starting our days with Mark’s morning sugar in a steaming mug of coffee.
