The afterparty is the party after the party. After the Met Gala 2023, celebrities changed out of their red carpet looks and into their after-party garb.
On the red carpet, A-listers paid tribute to the late designer’s appreciation for classic style by donning sultry black and white gowns for the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty Explained” event at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 1.
Example: Kendall Jenner. In a sequined Marc Jacobs bodysuit, the 27-year-old supermodel climbed the world-famous steps. Jenner’s outfit was a fitting tribute to Lagerfeld because it included a pointed collar, a signature style of the late Chanel creative director.
The founder of 818 Tequila, however, decided to wear a “naked” romper by Nensi Dojaka to the ApresMET Afterparty, revealing even more skin than before. The appealing item was made out of a high-rise thong and a glittery, sheer bodice. Pearl straps fastened the outfit together.

Bad Bunny, meanwhile, looked cool and collected in a brown jacket, white t-shirt, and black slacks. The 29-year-old singer wore several necklaces and sported black sunglasses and a bottle of liquor.
The two have been romantically coupled since February, although they arrived at the Met Ball separately. Once inside, however, they reunited.
Kim Kardashian draped in pearls and Kylie Jenner in a smoldering red gown were two of the “Kardashians” star’s sisters who also attended the event. Bad Bunny, who won a Grammy, wore a white Jacquemus suit with a beautiful rosette cape that was 26 feet in length.
Kendall Jenner’s See-Through Outfit From The After Party Of The Met Gala Is Her Most Daring Look To Date
During the past few days, Kendall Jenner has been all over the news, first by confirming her relationship with Bad Bunny and then by making a splash at the Met Gala in a black and white Marc Jacobs bodysuit paired with sky-high platform boots. The model continued to steal the show at the Met Gala after-party by donning an ensemble that had all eyes on her.
At first sight, Kendall’s after-party outfit may pass for a piece from Chanel’s archive; more precisely, an item from the label’s spring/summer 1994 collection (modeled by Nadja Auermann).
In reality, Nensi Dojaka, a London-based creative genius, was responsible for the ensemble, which consists of a sheer sequin bodysuit with a black harness and underwear elements, as well as pearl straps. Dojaka re-created one of Karl’s memorable outfits as an homage on her Instagram Stories.
When it comes to the Met Gala, Kendall isn’t one to shy away from a revealing outfit. In 2021, for example, the model walked down the steps of the Metropolitan Museum in a crystal-encrusted fish-tail gown by Givenchy haute couture. At the after-parties last year, Kendall wore a sheer organza skirt and top with floral appliqué that showed off her silk satin Miu Miu bra and underwear set.
Autumn/winter 2023 runways featured fewer transparent dresses than in prior years, as precision-cut tailoring and investment separate from labels like Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, and The Row ultimately supplanted them. Despite this, it’s still common to see celebrities wearing skintight outfits. Indeed, Kendall’s racy getup for the after-party is cause for a second glance.
