When And Where Will Season 2 Of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Be Made Available?
Season 2 was originally slated for a fall 2022 release, but Disney+ has since confirmed that it will debut on that streaming service on September 28, 2022, just days after the trailer premiered. But sadly, that did not occur.
The premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch has been set for January 4, 2023, with a double-episode premiere and a total of 16 episodes, most likely airing on Wednesdays at the same time as the other Star Wars television series.
This series, like all Star Wars content before it, will debut exclusively on Disney+. Thanks to Disney+ expanding its service to more countries, fans everywhere will soon have access to their favorite Star Wars content.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Season 2: What Do We Know So Far?
Fans were treated to a plethora of new details and a trailer for the show at the Star Wars Celebration. The supplementary trailer suggests that The Bad Batch will be teaming up with Gungi and reaching out to potential new allies (more screen time for Ahsoka, anyone?). However, Commander Cody’s comeback after Order 66 is the true highlight of the supplemental trailer.
In Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, Temuera Morrison portrays Commander Cody, as one of the few clones to receive significant screen time in the original films. During the war, he was in charge of Obi-Wan Kenobi and collaborated closely with the Bad Batch and Captain Rex.
Cody’s fate has left a mystery after Disney removed the expanded universe material. Cody has a reputation for being incredibly loyal; the question now is whether he will continue serving the Empire alongside Crosshair or join the Bad Batch.
The panel at Star Wars Celebration hinted that The Bad Batch would feature a central theme about people looking for meaning in their lives. The Bad Batch were clones developed as a military force to fight for a dictatorship that no longer exists.
There has been a change in the Bad Batch’s mentality, and it is reflected in the removal of unit insignia from their armor. The clones, especially Echo, have shifted from trying to shield Omega as a civilian to integrating her into the team and training her as such.
Now that Omega has a helmet, writers have suggested that Echo will take on a more commanding role by teaching Omega the ways of the soldier. Like the Bad Batch before him, Omega is adopting the identity of a soldier.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Trailer
Disney, as they often do with new Star Wars material, debuted two separate trailers for the upcoming season. The first was shown exclusively to those who attended Star Wars Celebration, but a few days later, a public trailer was released on YouTube.
The trailer, which has been made available to the public, demonstrates a significant amount of growth since Season 1. Notable among them is the reappearance of Gungi, a young Jedi from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. We also get a glimpse of what’s to come in the upcoming season by seeing how Omega and the rest of the Bad Batch have shifted their focus from their former unit to a family unit.
Even more recently, a brand new trailer for the show has been released, and it can only be found in the “Extras” section of Disney+’s platform. You can watch it down below, and if you want to know what’s going on in the background, you can read our breakdown of the trailer.
On March 1 at 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, and at 8:00 p.m. CT, Disney Plus will premiere “Metamorphosis,” the eleventh episode of season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
