Kageno Minoru, a Japanese high school student with a fixation on being a superhero, dies in a car crash and is reborn in a fantasy world as the hero Cid Kageno in Season 1. Cid uses the knowledge and abilities he gained in his past life to become the strongest person in the world, but he keeps his true identity a secret.
While this is going on, Cid uses a made-up myth about the diabolical Cult of Diabolos to rescue a group of Elf ladies from a disfiguring curse and then trains them to be terrible fighters. When the girls leave on their own journey to destroy the Cult and establish the Shadow Garden gang, Cid thinks they’re just tired of his infantile antics, but in reality, they’ve discovered the Cult’s existence and are determined to destroy it.

He’ll rally the Shadow Garden’s support to take on the Lawless City’s most formidable rulers, including the Blood Queen, Juggernaut, and Yukime.
