The murder of cheerleader Tristyn Bailey, 13, by a Florida teenager has been admitted to in court, as the teen has reportedly entered a guilty plea. According to CBS 47, Aiden Fucci, 16, entered the plea before jury selection began on Monday in his first-degree murder trial in St. Johns County.
On Mother’s Day of 2021, Fucci, who was 14 at the time, is said to have stabbed Bailey 114 times before dumping her body in a wooded area near her home in St. Johns. Tristyn Bailey, a cheerleader, was reportedly stabbed to death by a teenage boy.
If you would like to make a statement to the court, Fucci said, “I just want to apologize to the Bailey family,” as reported by News 4 Jax. offered additional time by Circuit Judge R. Lee Smith to consider his decision, but he declined.
