We can’t wait to find out what happens next with Nathan and Nora. Unfortunately, Amazon isn’t one of them. There will be no Season 3 of Upload this month.
The release date of Season 2 of Upload, starring Robbie Amell, has everyone waiting on the edge of their seats for Prime Video. It’s been over a year since the second season ended, and there’s still no word on when the third will premiere.
Correct, it is not scheduled to arrive in April 2023. It’s not shocking that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the most talked-about show this month given that it’s in its last season. Amazon would have to carefully time the release of the third season of Upload even if all the episodes were finished.
When Will Amazon Prime Get Season 3 Of Upload?
In November 2022, production was halted. Many news outlets have reported that the new season is set to premiere in the first quarter of this year, but this makes no sense and they have provided no supporting evidence. To be completely frank, I just don’t see how that could be true.
Even though I believe 2023 is plausible, I anticipate it will occur later that year. This is based solely on how long the post-production process is for this show.
Production on Season 2 ended in April 2021, and the season debuted on Prime Video in March 2022. That amount of time in post-production is 11 months. Season 3 would premiere in October 2023 if production ended in November 2022.
This makes sense, and it might even help with scheduling other shows. We can also look forward to a new season of the massively popular fantasy series The Wheel of Time this year. In order to spread out massive content and keep subscribers on the platform, we could see that show in the summer and then Upload it in the fall.
What Happens In The Third Season Of Upload?
Season 1 of “Upload” was comprised of ten episodes, and it took time to get to know its characters and setting. The show is about a man whose consciousness is uploaded into a virtual afterlife after he dies suddenly and under mysterious circumstances in a near future ruled by corporations.

Season 1 follows Nathan (Robbie Amell) as he adjusts to his new life and develops feelings for his customer service contact, Nora (Andy Allo) until his ex-girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) finds a way into the Lakeview Resort for the dead but alive of soul. In Season 2,

Nathan tries to figure out what happened the night he died, but he and Nora, the love of his life, are separated because Nora is busy taking care of her dying father and spending a lot of time at a back-to-the-land, technology-free commune (where she may meet a more realistic romantic interest).
Season 3 of “Upload” will undoubtedly deal with all of these developments and continue the story from where it left off at the end of Season 2: an influx. Nathan has Ingrid grow him a body, and he uploads his mind into it. Nathan and Ingrid’s relationship is precarious, to begin with, and it’s only going to get worse when he finds out that she wasn’t actually dead and was wearing a virtual reality suit to hang out at Lakeview.
Who Will Be In The Cast Of Season 3 Of Upload?
Nathan Brown, played by Robbie Amell (The Tomorrow People, The Flash), will be back for another season. The star of the show has revealed that he will be playing the role of a computer engineer beginning with Season 3.

Season 3 will feature the graduate of a computer engineering program in a variety of roles. Allegra Edwards is set to play Ingrid Kannerman, Nathan’s fiancee.

I’m interested to see where their relationship goes after that cliffhanger. Andy Allo’s involvement and Nora Antony’s addition to the love triangle only serve to complicate matters further. Whether future episodes will feature similar humor or social critique is unknown at this time.
The Season 2 Reviews Have Been Mostly Positive So Far
Season 2 of Upload has been available on Netflix since March 2022, and it has kept a perfect critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes (though its audience rating is currently at 78%).
The second season of Upload was praised by critics for striking a better balance between the show’s tone and its humor than the first season had, but fans were less enthusiastic. It’s down to just seven!

Nathan and Nora (Andy Allo) had to get back to New York quickly to thwart a sinister plot to upload enough people into a cost-free digital afterlife to influence the elections of the living. After two seasons in Lakeview, it appeared that Nathan’s luck had turned around for the better. He had been successfully downloaded back into life, and he and Nora were reunited at last.
Nathan’s reflection in the mirror after a night with Nora was the major plot point at the end of Season 2. His nose seems to be bleeding. That’s what happened to the last guy who was downloaded, right before his brain blew up. Tell us what happens in the next chapter!

Final Words
Post-production on this show takes a considerable amount of time. In fact, it took 11 months for Season 2 to arrive on Prime Video after production wrapped. Therefore, we should not expect the show to premiere before the end of 2023.
