With the success of the “requel” in 2022, the slasher franchise is revitalized. The following is all the information we have about the upcoming film.

The success of the “requel” in 2022 has given everyone’s favorite slasher franchise a new lease on life. While there was a long wait of eleven years between the third and fourth films in the series and the fourth and fifth, the next film in the series shouldn’t keep us waiting too long.

After the January 2022 release of Scream (the fifth film in the series), the February 2022 greenlighting of Scream VI (the sixth film in the series) followed the film’s successful box office run. This is all the information we have at the moment; more will be added as it becomes available.

When Will Scream 6 Be Available To The Public?

A new date of March 10, 2023, has been set for the release of Scream 6. Paramount Pictures moved up the release date by three weeks from when it was scheduled to debut at the end of the month.

Neve Campbell, who starred in the Scream films, was notably absent from the cast in her role as Sidney Prescott. Since the first Scream in 1997, Sidney has been the main character, but Campbell confirmed to Deadline that she would not be appearing in the new film. Campbell claims that the studio underpaid her for her role in the film. The offer “did not reflect the value I have brought to the franchise,” she says.

Storyline Of Scream 6

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a brief plot synopsis teases that the movie “continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter”.

Cox has previously spoken highly of the script for the sixth installment of the Scream franchise, telling Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t know about contracts and where things are, but I’ll tell you in the script — it’s a perfect one.”

You have to be killed if you talk about it, she continued, so I’m not going to say anything. Subverting audience expectations is a hallmark of the Scream series’ meta-commentary on horror film clichés.
